Been to Bok A Bok Chicken three times now, each time the family tried something else, and each time to food has been killer.

Tonight we got a 3 piece chicken strip basket, 15 piece wings, fries and some Kim Chi Mac & cheese. I saw this place on Diners Drive in's and Dives and decided to try it. They have 3 locations, Seattle, Burien and White Center.

It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

I’m going to have to warn you, Bok A Bok is NOT Korean fried chicken. Outside of that their food is good. Korean fried chicken is way different and tastes much better in my opinion. Outside of their crappy marketing, I think the food is good. Overpriced a bit, but pretty good.

Who said it was Korean Fried Chicken that you have to 'warn' us about?

They’re billing themselves as Korean comfort food.

Actually, that's not true.

Go to their website, there is no mention of Korean anything, other than the Kimchi Mac & Cheese & Bulgogi Tacos.

If you go to Yelp, the first reviewers are the ones that set up the page, not the owner, and they typed in style of food as Korean Style Fried Chicken.

Even Seattle Eater tried to say it was Korean "Style" when it opened, but Bok a Bok's owner never said that.

Other reviewers in the paper & online quote the owner as he described the restaurant, but then, on their own, added that it was Fried Chicken crunchy like Korean...the owner didn't say it to them.

I don't really care, and don't want to argue, it's just that what you said isn't on their website, nor in any links that were posted, so I just wondered where your claim came from, that's all.

Have a good night.

Huh. You’re right. Back when they opened though, there were a bunch of reviews from zagat, eater, and another one I can’t remember but they all called it Korean fried chicken and that’s why I went there after they first opened, only to be sorely disappointed.
Like I said though, their food is good, just not to expect what the reviewers say the type of chicken it is

Yep, you're right, too.

All reviewers, newspapers, etc., kept calling it that, but they, themselves, never did.

It only sticks out in my mind because we love Korean Fried Chicken, and hit some of the joints in Fedeal Way that have it. Some of them don't serve it until later, so we were hoping Bok would be legit, and easily available.

Another place that doesn't get my business in those locations. I do want to try.

I also do want to make a recommendation in that area if you’re looking for seafood. Crawfish House is around the corner from Bok a Bok and I’ll tell you, they’re realllly close to taste or might be better than the Boiling Crab franchise in Cali.
