I remember shooting in the Angeles National Forest north of LA. There were many shooting places (in CA it mainly has to be designated) but only two were open and that by far was the most dangerous place I every shot and by far the worst as far as trash. A few years later the government closed it down, it was trash infested and despite the heroic efforts of a few, it was never cleaned up. I'd prefer not to let it happen here. Speaking to DNR in the past, there are groups that would love to stop target shooting around the Elbe Hills area. People are continually complaining about us, much is BS but some is legit. Also, people are shooting in not designated areas and making a general mess. Always a minority. But take their pictures and narc their butt. Get the bad people out. Bring extra trash bags for people to clean up (I forget too). Bring extra eye and ear protection for a newbie. Etc., etc.

The next one is actually scheduled for April 15th. If they've got a cleanup scheduled, then let's just let them do it. Let's spend our group energy elsewhere, at other places.

Seriously, there is more than enough places that need a good cleaning without drama. We really need to get all three agencies to go along with our ambush tactic for regular clean ups.
