As the saying goes, the terrorists only need to get lucky once.
The IDF and Mossad stop stuff all the time, buy you rarely hear about that.
Best guess is Hamas used a very select group for their dirty work.
The good oart is when they are dead you've also gotten rid of sonw Hamas most senior and capable fighters.

Best part of it for Israel is they have leader in place who doesnt back down and genuinely wants peace but peace by the wackos giving up terrorism.
I hope the taliban send a but. A way to gwt rid of bunch more terrorists.
