Here is another map to track fires.

Thanks.
Their data is alittle off. its 92 deg here 100 feet off the lake, prolly 95+ where the fire is being fought.

Imagine the pucker factor, flying one of those scoopers, especially if you're new to it. Dayum!

Balls of steel!

No news other than the fire grew another 2000 acres yesterday, north. Another day today of gusting winds will most likely fan it north again around Lake Mary Ronan as it approaches the southern shoreline where Camp Tuffit lies .

We're bring the 5th home this morning from Lakeside and if for some reason it gets out of control again, we will bug out South to Polson. Highly unlikely.

They had a meeting last night on the fire status. When the sheriff was pressed as to the reason it started, he wouldn't give any details other than it was a human caused fire. I suspect it was arson because 4 more smaller fires started the next day in around Big Fork, and they claimed those fires (now extinguished) were indeed arson.

I'm glad to hear it sounds like the homestead is safe buddy! Arson huh? I hope they catch the freaks that set those fires and burn them at the stake. :cussing:

Looks like the fire jumped LMR and hit the State park campground from this fire map...

Those guys were working the last fire here. I saw where they were scooping and called in immediately cuz the dimwits running the fire gave them the wrong GPS coordinates to drop in. They were dropping in mere feet away from a submerged boulder. I sure would not want to have to work with the poor info they are given.

The fire might be starting to be contained, but LMR area is under evac order.

Current fire map as of 10:10 AM

Yeah, only 500 acres over night and they now have a the fire contained at the south and west edge of LMR and a 2nd trench line cut to protect Camp Tuffit. Things are looking up. No planes today, or if there are, they're landing over in Big Arm part of the lake.

Yessir.
Clear blue skies, no smoke here.
Brought the 5th wheel home yesterday and unloaded 14,000 rounds of ammo cans out of the 4Runner, along with photo albums, etc.

Life is back to NORMAL now.

/Close thread.

Look at it as a test run...

Evaluate and look for things that went wrong and how you can optimize things next time.

Glad it was a non-event for you, for the most part.
