So there’s a story here. I was using my transfer magnet to pick up nails that had been spread around in the dirt of my carport to get it ready to put in some gravel and concrete. My young daughter was “helping” and in the process she had stuck the magnet to my trailer and other things to see what it would stick to. Later on I was looking for it and couldn’t find it. She said she left it on the 2x4s by the carport but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I thought “oh no, she must’ve stuck it on the trailer and it fell off somewhere on the freeway.” I ordered a new one from Cabelas and a couple days later I saw the old one on the front porch. That’s on the other side of the house. So I’ve decided that I’ll donate the new one to someone who is wanting to wet tumble their brass with stainless media. To enter, post a pick of your tumbler and I’ll draw at random on 4/17.

Not to steal the thread, but I inherited one of these tumblers. Is the magnet that useful? How do you get the pins out without one?
Not in - just interested in the workings.

Not in - just interested in the workings. I use a media separator to get them separated from the brass and then I put them on a towel to dry. It’s just a heck of a lot easier to pick them up and put them in a jar or bag using the magnet. Plus if you ever spill them where you don’t want them, they can be recovered.
