Hi all,
Hope this is appropriate to post.
I’m new to USPSA and have a few questions:
- where’s a good club to join to get some good USPSA specific training? I.e. having access to open bays where I can really train movement, Texas stars, swingers, plate racks, etc. - I’m in the Bothell area and wasn’t sure if Marysvillle rifle club was a good place to go in terms of finding USPSA folk.
About myself- - have been shooting since 2014, primarily doing the tactical Timmy stuff- recently found USPSA and really found that I love the efficiency and speed required, along with the dry fire practice - am following Steve Anderson’s Dry Fire book (refinement/repetition), Ben Stoeger, Tim Herron, etc. Am a big fan of Yong Lee, Hwansik Kim... - have shot 4 matches in the CO division, currently still unclassified, though I’m at the “C” class level, hungry to get to “A” class and beyond. - I normally shoot at BGC, but my shooting buddies aren’t particularly interested in competitive shooting, so I’m looking for pretty dedicated folks to learn from, train with. The USPSA folks I know (who got me into it) don’t dry fire at all, so I’m trying to find like minded folks who geek out on the “boring” stuff, the technical aspects of competing (entry/exit positions, footwork, mental management, shooting at the speed of sight/limit of human function), into dry fire daily, etc.
If there are experienced USPSA folks out there, I’d appreciate someone being able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance!

Marysville is probably the closest club to where you live, Custer would be further north, Renton and Paul Bunyan (in the south) are the other two active clubs. Checkout https://www.nwsection.org for local USPSA match info. Also, you should join the USPSA Facebook group where we hang out. You can definitely find like minded individuals that you can train with. https://www.facebook.com/groups/175382025857069
