Have you thought about getting a regular 43 and extended base plates for the mags? That's what I have Well, the +2 floor plate isn't too bad - $8.55 (fleabay)

I went with Hyve for base plates, trigger and mag catch
The factory trigger was crap when I got it. Maybe I got a bum gun, my friend bought one and his trigger is fine. The Hyve trigger is much better than both. Had I got the same trigger as my friend I probably wouldn't have swapped it out though
The mag catch was worth it. The factory catch was pretty much flush with the grip. Maybe with practice you can hit it every time. I'm a highly functioning stupid person so that wasn't going to happen
Base plates are a pretty simple add-on. The fleabay plastic fantastic stuff probably works just fine. Test it and see

I read their sales ad and I'm not seeing where this is worth while. The 43's are $448 all over the place. Maybe the extra $25 is for the +2 extensions? What am I missing?

It looks like it doesn't have the +2 extension, which is weird. I guess the mag base that's pictured is just to make the grip longer. That doesn't make much sense
Here's what I see different though:
Forward slider serrations Wilson Combat rear sight AmeriGlo ProGlo Tritium front sight TangoDown/Vickers parts kit Two 6-round single stack magazines (one with pinky finger extension) Large magazine release for easy and quick reloads
So 'better' internals than a regular 43. I wonder how the trigger compares

A little update. I sent Glock US a message asking about the veterans discounts. Their answer: Quote: We have not for 2020 yet. You can also join GSSF to get a coupon. I guess I could read into that in two ways. 1) They will later 2) They might not at all. Now, what can anyone tell me about GSSF?

You join it for 2 years (either consecutively or buy a 2 year membership). They send you a coupon which you can take to a blue label dealer and you get the special LEO/military pricing.
Their systems seem oddly outdated so you’ll need to print forms and mail them in rather than signing up electronically. But if you’re not in a hurry, it’s probably fine. I’ve not gotten around to doing this myself because of that, though.
