Steve and Jeff this one is for you guys full walk through of the system on my truck and how it flows and works
WARNING 32 MINUTE VIDEO!!

Nice. I knew the chemical process but mobile application is definitely more complex than I thought as well. Very good.

I had a SR5 with 22REC. V8? Holy poop.

The V8 is a lot of fun, can't get traction on gasoline but makes a sweet commuter with the woodgas. The system can be made much smaller and lighter depending on the fuel. The black hand crew we call them run there engines on charcoal and because charcoal is dry you don't have to have a big elaborate system like this that is designed for getting rid of the water content in the wood. Charcoal gassifiers there have been many built inside the trunk of a car, but making charcoal is a added step in the fuel making process. I get bio char when I clean the system out and that can be used as fuel to run a engine. I recycle it back into the hopper and it acts like a power booster to the woodgas. I have also been playing around with other biomass and have run muskrat carcasses and beaver fat through it as fuel and it works great. Plastic bottles, cardboard, grass can all be used as a fuel source to power a engine, wood is just some of the most energy dense things we can use as gassifier fuel

There are a few guys that have done pellets successfully, and a few that run on wood chips like you wouod get from a tree service chipper. But charcoal is by far the easiest system to build. Here is a video from Gary Gilmore the creator of the simple fire gassifier running his log splitter on char gas

He has since built many for running all sorts of engines including his Ford ranger and a 7.5kw generator that powers his shop

Checking the temperature all over the truck after a long ride in to work, you can see it's pretty safe to be around, makes a nice radiant shop heater when I get to work  https://youtu.be/e395ziuMZdE
Y'all hop in and let's take a nice joyride out through enumclaw. A joyride that cost no gas money!

I fail to mention in the video the bed is mounded over with about 400lbs of lumber, sitting on the bump stops

Seemed to blend right in today, out running errands in bonney lake and no one questioned the little bit of steam escaping the hopper while it was sitting in the parking lot. Had a Tesla and Prius driving around the parking lot, no clue I was running greener then they ever could be
