Like a lot of people I started loading for pistol cartridges first, then moved to rifle. I’ve now loaded a decent amount for rifles and developed some accurate loads. I’ve never used a brush on the inside of my case necks. If I am wet tumbling with SS pins, is this really necessary. I see there’s a wide range of opinions. Do you brush your necks. Does this step create a measurable improvement? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

IMHO, tumbling stainless steel pins cleans everything so I do not use a neck brush when I do that. Now if I media tumble brass and it’s still dirty, I have on occasion used a neck brush. |

Yeah, I've seen brass done wet w/ pins, it looks amazing, no need for neck brushing. That said, I dry tumble in walnut shell...doesn't do near as well as wet/pins, and I STILL don't use a brush on the inside of the necks. Ever. Never saw the need. |

Always on spent military brass, and most range brass. Some have residues that won't come out with dry media cleaning. Gives me a chance to do sumtin' useful while sitting in front of the tv Clean 'em, ream 'em, inspect 'em |

Way back, I dry tumbled once. Next day I promptly got a wet setup with pins. |

Before I started on wet tumbling, I would chuck a nylon brush in my drill and would do a few hundred in a short amount of time. I never really noticed a difference in accuracy or tension when seating a bullet. Made me feel better though. |
