WLP primers packaging change

So, I actually found some new WLP primers. Was planning on using them for some .44 mag loads. Have used the old ones successfully with w296 many times. However, the new packaging does not say anything about magnum loads. Does anyone know if Winchester has actually changed these primers, or just the packaging? There seems to be no info online about this (Other than when they went to brass 15+ years ago).
Any thoughts or insights appreciated, and apologies if this is a duplicated post.

Damned good question. I don't see a separate magnum primer on their website, and I can't find the answer online either though I can see that you're not the only one asking the question. Maybe just ask Winchester? https://winchester.com/Support/Customers/Contact-Us

Ah sorry, I missed the response when I looked at it earlier.
Hmmm, interesting. Kind of non-committal about the magnum issue. But I guess “only the packaging has changed” sort of tells us what we need...?
