Hi Everyone,

I wanted to take a minute to offer my assistance in the NFA world. While I know I am not the only dealer out there I hope you will find our knowledge helpful and give us the opportunity to provide you with quality products and service you deserve. We should be very competitive pricewise and are a stocking dealer for many of the manufacturers. That means we should have many of the high quality cans instock. We treat silencers as an investment and will offer suggestions based on our personal experience.

In no particular order here are some of the dealers we stock.

AAC
Gemtech
Thompson Machine
SWR
Silencerco
YHM
Serbu (Super Shorty)
Surefire (These are still on the way!)

We also deal with other companies that we don't maintain stocking levels for:
Bowers
Liberty Suppressors

Please let me know if you have any questions or are looking for something other than listed.

Thanks,
Chip Miller

ok I will ring in with my dumb question why can i not find any info on xd/xdm cans? I am shooting off the hip here but guessing I will need to replace my barrel. ok if thats the case I need some refresher net searching skills. as I can't find jack on this info I am looking for.

reason I ask is if it is going to cost arm leg and first born to convert my xd then I will just buy a glock as everything seems to be readily available.

There is no "xd and/or "XDm" cans. They are caliber specific cans. So, if you have a 9mm XD you will need a threaded Barrel for it. They are out there.

Yup you'll need to buy a threaded barrel.

Barsto makes them and some others too.

$305 from Barsto http://www.barsto.com/category_main.cfm?ID=XD&cco=63

You'll need to know the threading on your suppressor...

And then you most likely still need an adapter (depends on suppressor model/style).

Do... do a search on barrel makers and compare (price and reviews). Also note that I have had a few things made by them. They run in "batches" so depending on when you order and when they are actually making them... might be months (4-8 months) before you get one.

So, if you are serious you might want to call and check.

I'm just familiar with Barsto but there are many barrel makers out there.

Here are some other manufacturers:

Bar Sto Barrels
Jarvis Barrels
Storm Lake
KKM Precision
Lone Wolf

If you need a barrel threaded we recommend Tornado Technologies in Hillsboro @ 503-690-8000. They will make sure the threads are concentric to the bore.

Look for a new topic so this info doesn't get lost.

Thanks,
Chip

Tornado Tech is top notch. They did some work for me and it was very timely well done.

They asked me to keep the part being worked on until they had enough to do a batch. They called back when they were starting their production run and gave me a window to ship. Turnaround was about four days from my post office to my doorstep again!

Check with the manufacturer. I called Smith and it was much cheaper than other options.
