I gotta say, you guys are better folks than I. After all the work you guys put in trying to keep that other site cleaned up, and then the FS f*cked you all by closing it. I'd tell them to shove that other site right up their arses. Sideways.
But that's just me. Good Luck! But in my mind, this site will be the next one closed. And so on. And so on.
Maybe you're right but, there are still a bunch of us that will do whatever we can to keep these places open.
It may very well be a lost cause but, so was standing up to the Red-coats...

Another damn good day . . . though it started out a little wonky.
We showed up at the FS 70 pit at 10:00, as arranged, only to find that the Forest Service had already completed the cleanup! Some of the FS folks didn't get the "10:00 memo," they just knew that they were going to clean the pit that day, so being the smart folks that they are they showed up early to beat the heat. Well, maybe "smart" didn't work out so well today.
So anyhow, there we were at 10:00 and the work had all been done for us . . . so after a few minutes of discussion, we went with a few of the Forest Service folks to the FS 72 shooting pit that's about six miles up the road, and we did a cleanup there instead. It wasn't too bad, so the cleanup didn't take long, which gave us some time to have some good conversations about the 7013 closure, the future of the FS 70 pit, and the future of the FS 72 pit. Hopefully both of those last two will get enlarged and improved within about a year, to safely accommodate more shooters.
Big thanks to:
MADrtcw Woody -NS Ted (chime in, Ted, so we can figure out your username ) Breck
for showing up to help out!
And of course, once the work was done, well, what could we do but shoot?!
We did a bunch of 12-gauge work today. I can't really say "shotgun" because in addition to shotguns we had a "firearm" and an "AOW." Here's Breck with his new Remington 870 Tac-14 . . . one-handed:
On the plus side, it does make some cool fireballs:
Breck had some 12-gauge ammo called Herter's Multi-Defense, which has like a cannonball in it followed by grapeshot, or something like that. I shot a round of it through the Tac-14, which unfortunately wasn't caught on video because I rocked it, and shot it like a manly man!
Then MADrtcw stepped up, and that Tac-14 walked all over him, jumping out of his left hand, bitch-slapping him and basically embarrassing him:
Did I mention that I shot it like a stud? Well, if anyone says anything different, you can just ignore them because there's no video to prove their case.
