I was changing out the grips on my Beretta 92FS as I’ve done before but this time the hex wrench broke and the piece is stuck inside the screw! I’ve tried to use strong tape and a set of metal picks to pry it out of there but it won’t budge. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Tiny left hand drill bit running slowly in reverse. Or if you sacrifice the screw, using a sharp punch , tap the screw CCW, out toward the edge, until you can back it out and replace it.

Good tips above
You could also cut a slot in it with a dremel cutoff wheel
Try to get some penetrating oil on the back side of the screw in the mag well

Do you have access to a drill press ? Take something like an old broken tap. Grind a sort of chisel point on the tap. Nothing fancy you just need sharp edges to grab the broke Allen wrench/screw. Then chuck that tap into the drill press. Now ! We Are Not Drilling Out The Screw. We are using the drill press to provide downward pressure on the screw. Slacken or remove the belts from the drill press. Place your gun/screw under the tap. You may need to gently clamp your gun in a vice or have someone hold the gun in place. With the tap placed squarely on the screw your going to pull down on the drill press arm firmly but not with like all your weigh. (Taps are brittle and can break) then with the other hand rotate the spindle By Hand counter clockwise. If tap can cut into the broken bit just enough to grab it it may back out the screw. Hope all this is clear. Good luck

The big issue here is the hardness of that broken Allen wrench. A drill bit either left or right hand for that screw size can bend, flex and possibly break. The reason I suggested a tap is because. I work in a small machine shop. I’ve got a bin full of broken taps and not one left handed drill bit It truly does all depend on the skills and tools available to the person doing the work.

Do you still have the broken allen wrench? Why not put a drop of JB weld on it and then prop it up on the broken part in the screw head until hardened. No loss if it doesn't work.

All great ideas! I’m definitely going to order extra screws before I screw anything up too bad haha

Yup Reminds me of when I had a stripped out seat bolt hole in my 88 Suburban. Tried to use a cheap Harbor Freight tap to re-thread it. Tap broke off, and it was much harder than a drill bit, too short to use pliers. Just drilled another hole.

Is the tip of the screw accessible in the magwell, either from the top (slide side) or bottom? If you can get a hold of it in the magwell, it may be an option to grip it and turn it until it's free on the inside, or back it out and gain the ability to get something like needle nose vice grips on it from the grip side and turn it out.

I would use a brass or heavy rubber hammer and smack the grip on the other side to pop the broken allen tip out. Purchase some good allen wrenches not the chinese crap and that will not happen.

The end of the screw is hardly visible. I looked through the mag well thinking the same thing.
