Time is now for the new session and to voice opposition to the slew of anti-gun measures now before the Senate Law and Justice committee. Applying pressure BEFORE they move from committee is the best way to tackle this problem.
January 15th will be hearings and if you can attend, please do so.
Here are pages for leaving comments on each of the measures:

SB5444 and SB1387 say much the same thing. But this would require REGISTRATION of guns and magazines. They are throwing as much sh!t at the wall as they can and hoping SOMETHING sticks.

http://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?Bi...6049&Year=2017Here is a comment I posted. Copies were sent to my senator and representatives. Your particulary Senators and representatives may NOT necessarily be members of the committee so you should contact the Senate Law and Justice Committee members as well.
Senator Palumbo, Representative Stanford and Representative Kloba,
Greetings. I am writing to urge you to oppose these bills should they make it out of committee.
SB 5050 and HB 1134
-Bans on "assault" weapons and "high" capacity magazines
SB 5444 and HB 1387
-onerous registration of commonly owned semi-automatic rifles and magazines which hold more than 10 rounds
SB 5463 and HB 1122
-would require an owner to lock guns up making them unavailable for use in a self-defense situation and is an intrusion on privacy.
SB 5992
-is a ban on a device used by ONE aberrant individual yet seeks to curb the commercial activities of lawful manufacturers and retailers and lawful use by consumers.
Finally SB 6049 would prohibit the possession of commonly owned magazines with a capacity of greater than 10 rounds.
These bills currently in committee are redundant measures at best and outright infringements of 2nd Amendment guarantees.
All of the proposed measures are only encumbrances on the law abiding and do nothing to ensure our security as they hamstring only the law-abiding.
With appreciation for your time and consideration
