For the guys that concealed carry every day... what's your main caliber?
I'm 9x18 mac in a p64 but i hike with .38 spec(i need an airweight .357 for hiking)
Dont be afraid to talk about your girth.... It is better to have a .22 when you need it than to leave your .45 at home after all.

.45 ACP, 9mm, .38 Super, .22LR. I didn't make a poll choice since you only allowed one. Depends on what I'm wearing and where I'm going.

I'm with you on that, my 1911 even falls into rotation, especially since i'm only comfortable with a coat carry with anything reasonably sized(i cant CC well in the summer, i print terribly with anything). I just kinda wanted to poll the average, most used caliber.

When I was allowed to carry it was .40 S&W.
Unfortunately I am currently separated from my firearms by almost 5,000 miles.

I just kinda wanted to poll the average, most used caliber. I think it's more what & how you carry than what caliber. I mean I hear people say they can't carry a G26 & I'm like really? I know several people who carry a full size FN or 1911 everyday. I stopped worrying about printing long ago as none of the sheeple notice with all the cell phones & complete lack of attention span. I switch from strong side OWB & IWB in a good holster & belt combo in jeans to appendix carry. Also what am I doing, could you imagine digging a ditch, squatting down working all day with appendix carry poking you the whole time? Driving with strong side for distances can also be uncomfortable. I change it up often. I have gorilla sized hands & I'm a meaty dude but my gut isn't so big I cant appendix carry. Big guns are nicer to shoot small guns are nicer to carry You gotta play the genetic cards we're dealt & carry accordingly. Just my .02

LCP .380 most of the times now, unless we travel or hike, then it’s G19/5.

This used to be a more robust discussion due to limit on availability in size and caliber.
History. Back some 20-30 years ago the availability of firearms to come in almost any size were limited to manufacture and design limits of the day.
Meaning one could not get a small micro in a 9mm or 45 unless it was a single barrel design.
But now with modern CNC machining and modern designs on ammo and magazines too (capacity).
Historically the European designs of .32 and .380 was not very popular a generation or more in the US.
But with all that said. 9mm is the clear and easy choice for availability in almost any size and of course modern ballistics.
When I started shooting some 30+ years ago it was .45 and then 40/357Sig and now it’s 9mm
I still have some 380 and even a .32 and 25 but for carry it’s clearly 9mm.
