I had just a few minutes to stop in at Pinto's yesterday, between getting off work and going out with friends last night. It was just gonna be a quick look-see, y'know? Welp . . . it's was quick, yes. But more than a look-see. I already have a few old Mossberg .22 rifles, and they catch my eye every time. Yesterday I saw one I'd never seen before, with a weird fold-down VFG (can I call it that?), and with a price tag of $125 I just couldn't say no. That's a model 152, made between 1948 and 1957; it doesn't have a serial number (too old for that), so you can't tell exactly when it was made. Below that is a new Smith & Wesson 317-3, which is a J-frame, 8-shot, amazingly light aluminum revolver, and also a Ruger Blackhawk in .30 Carbine. I wasn't planning to hit the range this weekend . . . but we'll see. Might have to happen.

Pinto's is the closest thing to the gun store I used to go into with my dad as a kid. Old school. Pretty cool shop.

Is that a VFG or a monopod? I’m guessing the latter

Well, I wondered the same thing about that “handle.” It just doesn’t seem wide or stable enough to be a monopod ... but who knows. Maybe it is!

They are in cahoots with Ben's Loans.
They BOTH cost me money.
