These full lug 5" .44s carry and shoot very well. Like a "best compromise" gun. You may not be terribly popular at the indoor range though.

I did it again, bought another 44 magnum, this one a Smith model 29-3 made in 1983, in mint condition (although it has been fired)  This makes 8 44 mags I own now

I sold off my 629-3 5"...I will probably regret it someday. But that's because I got this shiny 29-2 last year.
