Rita & I went down to Tacoma to visit Dreadi at Black Hammer Arms and pick up her birthday present to me yesterday. A new Henry Big Boy Carbine in .45 Colt.    Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I love the weight and it's carbine-ness (that's a word), total length, a bit under 34". The magazine tube's a bit stiff to work, but pretty sure that'll sort itself out pretty quickly once I start using it. Sorry for the crappy photos, the lens protector on my phone has gone wayward and I didn't notice till after I'd taken them so there was dust on the lens. Love it! They are a DREAM to shoot! No recoil even with super hot loads! It's like shooting a 22lr.

I also picked up a full length sock yesterday to do the same for the whole rifle. I also ordered a nice case for it on Amazon that should be here on Wednesday. _________________David Unique Treen

According to Henry (and my testing) it can run Ruger Blackhawk 45 Colt loadings and the hottest factory stuff out there including buffalo bore.

One of the reasons I bought it was because I can reload for it, my Ruger .454 Casull (in .45 Colt), and Rita's Circuit Judge and hopefully all use the same recipe for reloading.
