That sign photo . . . . GRRRR, some people are such total douchebags!
Patrick, a huge thanks to you and Mason for picking up SO much of the crap that's left behind. You're not only helping these pits, but teaching him a life lesson that I'm certain he will never forget.
Just imagine how different things would be if the aforementioned douchebags had had a grandfather that had taught them such lessons . . . .

Ohhh that is funny stuff right there. I recommended posted shooting time's years ago to the warden and was told it could never happen due to some rules at the DNR.

OOOOOO now I know where I am going to be tomorrow! I haven't been there in about a year, and it is not far from me.
Anyone planning to go?

So I did some shooting pit recon today around Snohomish County with my pops.
We drove out to the Darrington pit (48.283528,-121.651361) today only to find it closed with a locked gate. There was a pickup truck there with exempt plates but no one around. We turned around and departed.
Next went to the Woods Creek Road pit out of Monroe. The gate there was shut and locked but it was open to shooting per the posted sign if you were willing to tote your gear the 100-200 yards up the gravel road to the shooting location. We stopped there and did some shooting for about an hour.
By pure coincidence ran into fellow Wagunner "PapaKhan" (Aaron) at the Monroe pit. Heck of a nice guy! Let me shoot his .308 and chatted quite a bit. It was fun.

Do you need a Discovery Pass to park at the Monroe pit?

From what I understand, the Darrington pit (48.283528,-121.651361) is only accessible from the rear road now.

Came to check on this and sad to see what I'm reading. Easily one of my favorite spots huge bummer that its so trashed all the time. I live in Lake Stevens so it's super close to me
