Is the Waddell Creek / Triangle Pit open?

I know there’s been a lot of closures and reopenings of pits and such in the last year in our area and want to be able to go out there today to plink but don’t want to waste the trip. Anybody been up there lately? As usual I will take a trash bag with me to fill on my way out.

Yup, almost had the place to myself. No issues. The only other group there was respectful and safe. A heck of a lot less trash there than a decade ago, but still a ton of it. I hauled one bag out.

It would be nice if we could get a cleanup going again at that pit. Support for such things have diminished a lot over the past few though.

If you build it, they will come.

Last I heard the pit wasn't in that bad of condition, hence why DNR hasn't reached out.

I agree it’s a LOT better than the original SGN shoots in like 08.... back then it was one solid floor of red and green shotgun shells in various stages of breakdown. There is a fair amount of shot up junk in the middle of the pit.

All that aside I am always down for a clean up.
