Anyone know if FS 7013 clearing will ever reopen for target shooting? The rock quarry is over crowded.

Yesterday, drove by the big pit. Around 3 cars 5 people. Late afternoon. Haven't been to that area in a LONG time. A lot of campers up there. Naches road is closed at the top? I didn't drive that far but they have signs clear down by hwy 410. FS-72 is closed within a mile of hwy 410. Didn't go anywhere else up there.

Last I heard, about a half mile of Little Naches road is closing middle to late July for a culvert replacement. Will be closed for about two weeks I believe. From what I understood, road is open from the west all the way to the closure. I know USFS will have fire crews staged on the West side of the closure for the duration of the job.

I drive by about once a week going to/from hikes at Rainier. I stop by with a garbage bag but last time it was packed with people. Couldn't even park but one day I will get a bag filled. I haven't even shot there, just found it, but want to help keep it clean so it doesn't get shut down.

I was also wondering how the Greenwater gravel pit was looking.
I think the last time I was there was a couple years ago when we had the last (and final...) clean and shoot activity at the now-closed location.
I was thinking it'd be nice to head out there and get a few rounds downrange at the pit, but I wasn't sure if the forest service had cracked down on that location as well, or if it's crowded now that the clearing is closed.
Sounds like it's open but packed? Any recent talk of doing a clean & shoot at the pit? I'd be up for it in August.
