hello all

new guy here

is it legal to shoot on the logging roads at the end of little kalama river road that isn't posted no trespassing or no target shooting?

I have a discovery pass already if that helps.

Thank you :snipersmilie:

The land is weyerhaeuser logging land and leased by them . i heard from several people you have to buy a 300$ a year pass to shoot on their land? is this true?

Yes all most all their land is permit required down here if it's a closed gate. I'm not sure the exact prices but if it's $300 a year and that gives you the rights to use and hunt the land, it's not terrible, especially if your the only one that get "have the rights" for a spot.

Any good places to shoot near me woodland/longview area that doesn't require the $300 weyerhaeuser land fee. I have a discovery pass also. It has to be a safe area with a good back drop. :wavey:

Haven't checked recently, but look online at Weyerhaeuser website - several years back
we learned the fees and permit requirements only applied to vehicle traffic. Park outside and walk in
and you were good to go.

Have you been out shooting on their land recently? I called and a rep said no target shooting on their land. Not sure if she was just saying that or she wasn't sure .just don't wanna get arrested over trespassing.

Not recently. When I worked for them their chief concern was vandalism to the motor vehicles and machines they left
in the woods - not much is disturbed by people on foot.
Their website had a list of do's and don'ts which clearly spelled out the rulez for trespass.
Much has changed in just the last 5 years.
