Just heard from my DNR contact. Looks like they are doing some public reach out to talk about shooting on their land. I will be doing everything I can to make the Burlington meeting on Medford Pit. Please attend ones in your area! Hi Kyle, See the attached link for an announcement regarding target shooting at the Medford Pit, referred to as the Harry Osborne in this post. Looks like there will be a meeting on June 1st, at Burlington-Edison High School. Figured it may be of interest to you and the Seattleguns.net community. Thanks, http://www.dnr.wa.gov/news/dnr-hold-con ... et-capitol

This sounds suspiciously like the pit is closed indefinitely and won't re-open until after public commentary and perhaps new rules :(

Anyone know if the pit is back open? It's been quite a while.

Yes, sorry for no pm response, and lack of update. They are done pulling rock out and it is back open.

Seems like it would be a fairly easy clean up since they've been excavating rock from the pit recently. I would imagine anything in the excavator's way was scraped into a pile if not taken out with the loads of rock? Maybe I should show up to this one and help that little gal strap on her thigh-rig...
