Hello
Sheriff in Clark County has recently been patrolling this area much more frequently. Shooters have used this area for a long time, but now they are shooting too close to houses and other recreational areas.
On the L-1000 and Livingston Rd intersection, the DNR has posted a big NO TARGET SHOOTING SAFETY CORRIDOR FOR 8 MILES sign. Sheriff is really enforcing it with tickets and warnings. My friend got a ticket a couple of weeks ago.
DNR says this land along the corridor can be used for bikes, ATV, hikes, paintball etc. Problem is shooters have been stopping along the road and firing into the ravines and woods. Neighbors have been complaining, Sheriff told my friend there are about 150 houses nearby.
So a warning to all, if you don't want hassles from the Sheriff, make sure you go to the 8 mile point before you start to shoot.
On a good note, a new indoor range just opened in Camas! Exciting news, let's support them.
