Showed up at the range around 12:45PM today. See Steve Madpick shooting. Notice some new signs about assuring bullets hit berms. Then start setting up for the next ceasefire and all of a sudden the facilities manager comes in and makes a loud announcement and closes down all shooting.

King county is doing some trail construction on the rr bridge (or near it) and says bullets are impacting near them. I guess they complained once earlier this week. They had not told the range they would be doing construction. Until April.

Range closed weekday hours until 4PM. Open weekends. Sucks for us Friday guys.

I'm checking Google maps.............

Looks like the satellite had the lens cap on....

Let's go old school and Mapquest it:

EDIT: That link^ sucks. You'll need to zoom back and then follow the river until you see the falls, and go from there.

Here's how I see it . . . thoughts?

When I first clicked on your Google Maps link, there was a big part of the area that was blacked out, which I why I went to Plan B. But yeah, Google looks fine now.

Nice of SVRC to let everyone know. I don't expect to hear news of a closure on here. We all pay dues, they have all our email addresses, how hard is it to send a mail merge?

It just happened 2 hours ago. How fast do you expect them to send out info?

Well, hopefully they will send an email . . . agreed.

This just happened this afternoon, so it's still kind of hot off the press. They have updated the website, so you can watch it for updates:

They actually announced it right there. Yes they have our email addresses - let's see if they use them (I hardly get any email from them)

I know I've never once gotten a response from any email I've sent to them.

I wasn't aware that this just occurred, but if they've had time to update the website, they've had time to send an email to their list.

Seems like I get responses, just never any kind of announcement email.
