waddell creek not before 9am?

when did this happen? i went out yesterday morning and saw a sign that said no shooting before 9am. was a DNR sign.
wa out a few months ago an didnt see that before. |

I saw the sign a week or 2 ago, after I got to ESC too early (forgot you have to wait until 11am to shoot there). Gave me time to run home and get the spotting scope I'd forgotten.

Probably because the neighborhood on the other side of the ridge (shooters left) complained. A friend of mine lives in there and its really damn loud.

They also don't realize that those who are annoyed by the noise are willing to accept the 9:00 AM restriction but if it's abused they'll just head for the lawmakers where they hold more power than the inconsiderate shooters. Then NOBODY will be able to shoot there. FWIW, that's one of the reasons the Sultan Pit was closed. No consideration was shown for those living nearby and shooting would continue into the wee hours of the morning, often with illegal fires built to keep the party goers warm. A little respect goes a long way. Since I am new to the area, and looking for a place to shoot outdoors, can anyone send me info on exactly where the waddell creek shooting area is?
