Some friends and I want to find someplace east of the mountains to do some camping, tactical movement and shooting. Remote is fine. Any ideas ??? :AR15firing:

Look up roads FR33 and FR3350 in the Cle Elum area. They're south of I-90. Lots of terrain there as well as some open meadows. Depending on what your camping equipment is, there's plenty of fun places.

Also look at BLM land south of I-90 in the Kittitas area or on the road from Kittitas to the Colockum area. Careful on the last area though as I've run across Army units set up there under large camo nets. Might not be that much fun if your "training exercise" ran into their "training exercise".

9 miles west of Leavenworth on highway 2, just after you cross the river (going westbound), there is a road that leads south to a couple collection ponds. keep following that road back to the right until you hit the gate, camp there or wherever else in the vicinity looks good. walk in a quarter mile or so past the gate and you'll see 2-3 pits open up on your left hand side, with good distance and elevation varieties to work with.

we used to camp/shoot there but thanks to bums/vagrants that setup permanentnt camp there a gate was erected near the entrance. we haven't been back in a couple years, but will probably swing through there in April to check out the condition of things on our way to Ale Fest in Leavenworth.
