it is about 1.5 hours drive one way for me so 3 hours just to go and see is a little too much time wasted. i was at least just hoping that someone on the forum had by chance gone up there recently and seen whether it was open or still being mined.
However, if I get really really bored maybe I will take the drive anyway.  Lee |

To drive from my place all to the top where the pit is, yeah just about 1.5 hours. Remember that going up to the top I am not going to be hauling ass since there are times when opposite traffic is coming and they are not always easy to see in some of those turns. That is why I take my time going up the mountain.
