Another reminder about the elections on March 1st - if you're a recent member, come out to vote and I'm happy to help recommend candidates I am personally supporting.

If you've been a member for a year or more - consider running for a position. I believe we still have a few that have no candidates. PM me if you're interested - the amount of work for these positions is minimal.

Third Sundays of the month the shotgun special interest group hosts a trap shoot. They just rebuilt a weather proof building to hold the trap machine. Machine only throws singles, and are required to use club provided ammo (low power) given the proximity to neighbors etc. Looks like fun though!

Nice! I need to consider membership there. Though my wife might not like the idea of having a membership at 2 ranges.

I am currently planning on attending the next membership meeting to introduce myself to the membership, and hopefully find a sponsor. If there are any members on here who would be up for meeting for coffee or a beer before then to talk, let me know! I have heard nothing but good things about ISA, and would love to join!

It was great to meet you last night, Ben. Thanks for taking a few minutes out of your busy time to talk with me for a few. I am still hoping to meet and potentially get to know a few members this month. Any ISA members on here Boeing employees?

I'm contemplating heading to Interlake tomorrow (Sunday, March 5th) at 10am for some pistol pew pew on the north range. Any members and/or interested non-members want to join? I can accommodate up to two non-members, but be aware: I'm going for pistol, not rifle, shooting.

If I had seen your post earlier, I would have taken you up on the offer! Bummer... Oh well, maybe next time!

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself and say it's my intention to check out ISA at the next members meeting. Been doing a bit of research to find somewhere to shoot my AR at more than 25-50 yards in the 'Sound' and ISA seems to fit the bill. Hoping to meet some folks there and see what it's all about and eventually find a sponsor.

So what does it take to gain the sponsorship of a current member? Is it as simple as showing up to the monthly meeting on the 1st Wednesday and introducing yourself to current members? I've been looking for a range to join but none of them seem as good as ISA and it is close to our home.

No, you'll need to find someone who can vouch for your safety with firearms. So you'll need to have some one take you out shooting.

This sponsorship requirement is not meant to be superficial.

Hello.. I might be interested in joining the ISA.. If anyone would like to meet for coffee, a tour, some practice or whatever, let me know.. I'm in the Sammamish area.

I currently shoot pistol, and reload for it as well. I'm interested in using the range for pistol, including the ability to use a soon to be purchased chronograph. (Assuming chrono use is allowed). I might get into rifle later.

Thanks

Fox
