Post subject:  Kenmore shooting range

Hi everyone!

I’m excited that I’ve purchased an AR15 in 556, as well as a DMR rifle in 6.5 creedmoor and I want to shoot at an outdoor range.

I live in Bellevue and found two ranges nearby that I’m willing to drive to.

Kenmore outdoor range (wildlife committee of Washington) and Tacoma rifle and revolver club.
I’ve been shooting at west coast armory in Bellevue and it has been great, for an indoor range.

If anyone can let me know their thoughts on these two ranges and also if there is anything else I should be looking into.
I know there is interlake sporting association but they require a member to sponsor me. I honestly don’t know anyone there. I tried asking people at the gun store and posting at another forum pnwguns but was unfortunately not able to find a member there.

If anyone has any feedback on these two ranges I’d love to hear it!
Thank you very much.

Welcome to WaGuns! :wavey:

Keep trying for Interlake, we have some members here and maybe someone will help you out.

I'm a member in Kenmore since it falls 7 minutes away from my place. Fine place if you like target shooting. Only 100 yards without membership and "special permit", classes for special permit are once a month and then you can stretch up to 300 yards. 10 rounds in mag is fine for target shooting even if a bit overzealous. 3 second shot spacing is enforced - pita if you play with pcc or semi .22 at 50 yards. Even more pita for handguns. No silhouette targets.

I've been to Renton a few times as a guest. A bit more relaxed & cheaper. No limits to rounds, shot spacing or type of targets. Action bays for events (only). Limited to 200 yards, might be a factor for your 6.5.

If I lived in Bellevue I'd try Snoqualmie Valley Rifle Club. Been there once, a bit crude but fun. 200 yards if I recall correctly. Never heard of any limits there.
