To all who participated: This is the ONLY way that we will keep outdoor shooting areas alive. Thank you for doing your part or, in the case of some of you (*cough* Pat *cough*), more than your part!

Yesterday I cut out of work at 2 o'clock to renew the tabs on truck and then took the trash to the Arlington transfer station. I was figuring about $200 for the dump fees, it was only $106. Not bad at all. It's amazing how much trash people leave at the pits. The upper pit needs to be picked up yet, I'll schedule another clean up for that here shortly.
Thank you all for helping out on the clean up.

Thank you all for helping out on the clean up. Thanks for your tireless efforts Pat. People are slobs by nature, they really show their true colors when out in others woods (public or private property). I have to wonder if their mommy or wife picks up after them at home, because they have shown that they are not responsible when unsupervised. I’ve found boxes with shipping label still attached next to trash left in the Capital forest. I should email pictures of the labels to DNR.

Hey Pat, I finally posted a report on your cleanup. Sorry it took so long, but I've been hammered with long hot days fixing air conditioners! Here's the link to your story: Target Shooting Pit in Darrington, WA. Gets A Cleanup! https://www.trashnoland.org/target-shooting-pit-in-darrington-wa-gets-a-cleanup/Pat sent me this receipt and Trash No Land will reimburse him for it. (Cause we all appreciate the efforts to save and preserve a good place to shoot)! Attachment: 123_1001002.jpeg

Thank you all for helping out on the clean up. Thanks Pat for organizing this and thanks TNL for covering the dump fee and thanks to everyone that was able to make it out. As Pat noted, the lower pit does indeed look better than it ever has. Pat I'll be glad to help out again for the upper pit whenever you get that scheduled.

Dave I took Mason back up to the lower pit today, some one shot a porcelain lamp and a computer that I cleaned up. There was a five gallon bucket of shotgun hulls and other trash. Between both pits I picked up twenty pounds of brass. Mason got to ride his mini bike for a couple of hours

Dave thank you for supporting the clean ups that we did,you made it to every one. Does September 10 work for you on cleaning the upper pit?. I was thinking September 10th or September 17th, they both are on a Saturday. Once I hear from you I will get going on getting a hold of the DNR and posting that clean up. That upper pit isn't as bad as the lower pit was. Pat
