Been a while since I have been there.

Is this place still open to shoot at? Still free?

My teen-age kids are in town (from back East) now that COVID is pretty much over, and Iknow they'll want to go shooting at least once or twice.

Thanks in advance.....

I'd rather pay to shoot at Evergreen. The pit is always so sketchy.

You need a discovery pass to shoot there. They have blocked off the parking lot so you park on the road. There has been issues with cars getting broken into.

I’ll second what Damon said, just go a few miles further down the road to Evergreen.

Does Evergreen allow you to shoot green-tip 5.56 out on the rifle range?

I will be mostly shooting to 100 yards or so with iron sights.... kiddos don't have optics yet.

Yup! just don't shoot it at our steel plates. BYOPlates or pop paper.

But why shoot green-tips! I am sure people will happily trade you one for one a 62gr GT for a 55gr plinker.

I'll chime in for Evergreen Sportsman's Club as well. I've been to the Triangle pit too... once. I'm never going back, unless its for a WaGuns group cleanup and shoot event.

As others have said NO TO THE TP! If you’re not going to the Evergreen Sportsmans club then PM me for a nice uncrowned place not far from the triangle Pit.

Have they blocked off the entire parking area between the two gates?

Are there safe pits to take the kids (10 and 12) to? I was considering the Triangle Pit as well but it has been a long time since I was there last.

No. Going into a pit is like going on a hike. Never know who you are going to run into and what their intents are.

If I wore black air forces, I would shoot at triangle pit for sure.
