Has anyone gone to the Darrington pit lately? I haven't been there in a couple years, is the road off of 530 open or is only access off of 18? Does anyone know how bad the road is? Thanks

Thank you,I've read that thread but still decided to ask since it seemed like that was over a year ago and was wandering if anyone went there more recent. And i didn't see anyone talk about road conditions, i have a compact fwd SUV and don't feel like getting stuck there. Thank you.

They were up there cleaning it up a month or two ago.
Pretty sure one of them worked to fix the road a bit if i remember correctly.

Look for the cleanup thread by searching. On my phone or i would find it for you.
Welcome as well

DoveRelease is a member here, and a great steward of that area...organizing clean-ups, etc.

Here’s one of his more recent threads...

I thought it was the one off of sr530, but now i found out there is one off suiattle river rd and one on 435th ave? Now I'm not sure which one i went to. You guys seem great and I'm happy i discovered this forum, facebook groups are no good. Im excited to meet some of you guys at some other cleap up events. I have steel targets and paper/cardboard targets, i dont bring or leave trash behind, i make sure its cleaner then when i get there. Thank you

Perhaps go to the thread I linked to.

Find a post from DoveRelease and Click on ‘Profile’.

Send him a “PM” introducing yourself, and ask your questions.

I’m sure he’ll have the answers you seek.

Or, wait until he sees this thread...

I have been exchanging PMs with Adrian and will be meeting up with him at the Dollar Store/ Grocery Outlet stores at 8am Sunday to go to the 435th Ave pit.
That rutted up spot is really rutted.
I hauled gravel from the pit and filled a couple of them in and they kicked it all out.
It needs a major repair. I will talk with the DNR guy about that spot.

Any one else want to meet up early Sunday morning to get a little trigger time in.

I will be meeting up with a shooting friend at my place a little before 11am on Saturday to go to the car show at the Angel of the winds casino if any want to go and check out the cars and shoot the shit.
Pat.

I called the head DNR guy to talk to him about fixing the real bad spot on the road to the 435th pit and I only got his voice mail. I will call him next week about the situation.
So tomorrow morning Adrian and another member on this forum will be meeting up at the Dollar Store/ Grocery Outlet in Arlington and we are going shooting at the 435th pit at 8am.

Any one want to join us for a couple of hours of early morning shooting?
If so send me a PM.
PAT the dove release guy.
