Hi there, I’m still fairly new to shooting. I picked up an AR15 a few months ago and have not been able to shoot it yet. I would like to go to green water this weekend but the weather forecast calls for snow. Is it pretty typical to skip shooting in bad weather? Is it bad for the guns at all if they are rained on? I’m really dying to go but don’t want to be miserable up there. Anybody with experience or thoughts on this? Thank you!

I doubt a little snow, rain or anything else will hurt it if wiped off/ cleaned before storage. Kinda hard to find the brass though if you reload. Have fun!

Winter 2019-20 (don't really remember the month) was at the range when it really started coming down - ultimately good parts of the city closed down - the biggest difficulty was seeing the targets!
Rain/snow won't hurt you or your guns if you do your work drying everybody out immediately after. Don't forget to wipe/dry your optic so no water is left on the glass; minerals can etch glass.

If you are shootng a semi auto you should have some kind of brass catcher. Snow or rains will make no difference as long as you properly take care of the firearm. I like to go out in that weather to call coyotes in.
