Shooting spots near Granite Falls

Tue Jun 30, 2020 7:33 pm

Friday I will be going to visit a friend at his little piece of property just past Green Gables. Is there any shooting spots near Granite Falls. I don't know the area over there. I know people pick up brass over that way, but never inquired where they pick the brass up. Looking to do a little shooting while I am there. He can't shoot on his property being a small lot and other people being to vlose to shoot.

Green mountain is a good place. However, there's a sign that says "No shooting on NF 41 for 3.4 miles. Private property." Which ironically is where all the shooting pits are along there. There's a "Y" in the road as your going up the mountain(a shooting pit will be on the left don't shoot there). If you take the road on the right, that is NF 011. Which leads to part of Snoqualime/Mt Baker National forest. Meaning you can shoot there as long as you follow the recreational shooting rules. Use a dirt back stop and paper targets. Don't shoot at trees!! Pack out what you packed in. Including brass.

Last time I was up there I got a visit from a park ranger and a sheriff(July 12th). I did followed all the rules of outdoor shooting, so they left.
