Long range shooting

Tue Aug 13, 2019 6:31 pm

I moved here from kansas a few years ago and have been searching for a range or other location where i can shoot 600-1000 yards within a couple hours from Kent, I have been to greenwater on multiple occasions but never found anything longer than 150-200

You do have a couple options but these are ranges.

As for open public lands etc... extremely hard to find and not many will disclose.

600 yard ranges - may vary on dates etc.

Upper Nisqually Sportsman Club
Paul Bunyon Sportsmen Club
Tacoma Sportsmens Club
Cascade Sportsmens Club

All have different rules - members only and may have specials rules to shoot out to 600 yards

Do some research on the clubs and see what works for you.

TSC is public, but like Paul Bunyan, they only do 600 maybe once a month, maybe a bit more.
Paul Bunyan is a great range, and being members only helps.

Cascade takes a long time to join due to membership limits, 2-3 years.

Upper Nisqually is a very nice club, and easy to join. It's about 1 hour south of you, in Eatonville.
You can generally do 550 any day, except match days. The 600 uses different benches, but same target location.
They run PRS once a month, and 600 yard matches, plus 50 cal days at 600.
