Looking for public places that has more than 300 yard+ to take out the long range precision rifle. I know cazcade and tacoma sportsman has some special days that is open to public, but would rather be outdoors. Much appreciated, PM if you don't want to blast a particular spot; Totally understandable as we do our part to keep the area cleaner than we found it.

Ravensdale is Cascade. Yes, they have a 600 yard range but it's not open to the public.

Yes, there are a few days a month when they have public shoots ($10). Generally that happens at the C range, which is a 200-yard rifle range. Occasionally you might get to shoot at the handgun range too.

JBLM wants you to register your weapons since it is "technically" on base but isn't on the cantonment area. They say it is "required" but since you don't go through a gate to get to the range they don't really know unless they show up and run every serial number on the firing line. The COPS system, that is what is was called the last time I used it, is a national database that can be accessed by MP's/DA Police, CID and DA Guards. Most bases have no problem sharing information especially if they have a fusion cell like JBLM does.

I know its a drive but anytime you are on the dry side, hit me up. I have 24/7 access to Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility (Tri-Cities Shooting Association) in Benton City. We can do steel up to 454yds or 1000yd High Power target range.
