What a ridiculous mess! The AFT demands an immediate response and action to their “new interpretation” but can’t be reached for any guidance on how to make that response

Reasonable people being told to surrender their legally purchased gear with no reimbursement are willing to do so, and the bureaucracy can’t even be bothered to lift a finger to instruct them on how to comply with this unconstitutional seizure of property?

Could the ATF possibly have a worse public image? Even with the rampant anti gun sentiment in this country I’m pretty sure any rational person shown this situation would call it ridiculous.

They will say that since a suppressor part IS a suppressor, they'll use the Form 1 as proof of intent to convert those parts, and *poof* constructive intent, and you're now unlawfully possessing a suppressor.

Fuck the ATF. Now more than ever, they are a rabid dog and completely out of control. I really, truly cannot see the problem here, with solvent trap kits being sold and then converted (with Form 1 in hand) to silencers.

Now for those who converted them without a Form 1, that's a different story and obviously that's not legal.
