Maybe I need to start soaking my Spectre II in CLR. Brake cleaner + Dremel & bronze brush only gets so much. Half the time I just polish the carbon to a nice shine.

Maybe, but I'd be worried about the coating on the sleeve coming off. I clean my rugged suppressor baffles with clr but only the baffles. I'd be pretty worried what a non-takedown can might come out looking like. A buddy threw his entire can in a bath of CLR and the cerakoted sleeve came out looking...rough. CLR is amazing stuff though. I have a video kicking around somewhere of lowering my baffles into the ultrasonic cleaner filled with CLR. Before I even turned on the cleaner the solution was bubbling rapidly from the CLR eating the carbon off the baffles.
