I didn't lube it. I thought about it, but I knew what it really needed was a good, long soak and a solid scrub, so I took the can off and moved on to the next thing. I'm going back to the range next week to function test a couple new pistols so I'll clean the can this weekend and try again. I'll also bring some different power springs and play about with those.

What do you use for cleaning your suppressor guts? I’ve recently discovered how well CLR works and haven’t used anything since.

CLR is the way.

I sent off a scathing message. No matter the grain 115-147 my pistols will not cycle.
I had so much hope this would work, but unfortunately no. After I talk to them I will follow up. But for now, it goes in the garbage realm.

Do you try shooting it without a rest? That last gun did the same with and without the can

Maybe I need to start soaking my Spectre II in CLR. Brake cleaner + Dremel & bronze brush only gets so much. Half the time I just polish the carbon to a nice shine.

This stuff is supposed to be pretty amazing. There's a big thread on AR15.com with some pretty high praise being piled on.

My Spectre II got so dirty that my Advantage Arms slide would not function. It was over 2 ounces heavier than new. I did a lot of scraping with an empty 308 case

Maybe, but I'd be worried about the coating on the sleeve coming off. I clean my rugged suppressor baffles with clr but only the baffles. I'd be pretty worried what a non-takedown can might come out looking like. A buddy threw his entire can in a bath of CLR and the cerakoted sleeve came out looking...rough.

CLR is amazing stuff though. I have a video kicking around somewhere of lowering my baffles into the ultrasonic cleaner filled with CLR. Before I even turned on the cleaner the solution was bubbling rapidly from the CLR eating the carbon off the baffles. I've never seen another cleaner work anywhere near as well.
