Doing some google-fu in regards to barrel lengths in blackout. Can is rated at 8" so warranty is in play there. New AR Takedown is 7.5". Should I swap barrels to an 8" or just mount on the 7.5? Wont be a bunch of rounds fired suppressed as main purpose is coyote duty for the wife. Just curious how much extra damage the can could incur with just a half inch difference

If it is a QD style, go with the Muzzle brake over the flashhider. Brake will be the sacrificial first set of baffles.

What can?

Silencerco Omega .30

They seem to play things safe as they say the 6.8SPCII is rated at 16"

I have the SiCo Harvester, and when I bought it, it was rated for 7 or 7.5" with 300 blk. I called to ask about rounds per minute since the pressure would be a lot less from sub 300blk vs the 300 Win Mag it's rated for. They asked what it was on (7.5") and they then told me basically all the info on their website was wrong (wtf, really?). Actually rated for 8" and 10rpm instead of 7.5" and 6rpm. They said it should be fine on a 7.5" but couldn't guarantee it... really pissed me off. Not much I could do at that point, kinda had me by the balls.

All that to say, you'll probably be fine, but I can't guarantee it...
