I've got a Para-Ordnance P10-45 (predecessor of the Warthog) that has some wonky magazines. I'm looking to rebuild the internals of them if I can, but it's nigh on impossible to find things like springs or followers in stock. You can find them listed at places like Numrich, but they don't actually have them.

Anyway, I wrote to Para at their contact address, and the email bounced. So I did a WHOIS lookup and their parent company is Remington now, so I've written to their webmaster (at the contact address listed in WHOIS), asking to be given (or forwarded) the right address. Not very hopeful that'll work as those addresses are frequently less than actively monitored. I know my company's similar address gets looked at maybe once or twice a month, if that.

Have any of you guys tried to contact them recently and found a good email?

EDIT: I just noticed they have a FB page, I'll try bugging them there.

As long as its a double stack the STI's will work with a little massaging...

The rest of the internals can be upgraded by using any 2011 or 1911 parts.

The only wierd part is the ejector. which, If you break it, I can machine a new one from an EGW part.

I had 2 Pro Customs....both ran on STI mags.

Only have 1 left.

Duke EB has the other.....runs it hard in IDPA. No misfeeds/malf.

BTW Remington is the new Para. Exactly the Same pistol as the old Para.

The Remington R1 is the old Para Pro Custom.

Those pistols were Canadian built and Remington nor Para USA knows anything about them.

Give these guys a call and ask them if their springs will work in your pistol’s magazine.

Try Sarco, I believe they bought out the remaining parts from Para USA.

MBX has some stuff for para, but it looks like only for 9 and 40/10. maybe some of their internals could work.

I ordered one of their magazines so now I have something to compare to. It's not perfect, it won't drop free when it's loaded, but will when it's empty (which is when you want it to). It also locks back the slide like it's supposed to (although I haven't actually shot it empty yet, so that test is still to come), but it works every time I slingshot it. Best part is, their magazines are half the price of any other Para magazines I've found, and they're Para marked, so maybe it's part of the buy out?

I'd never heard of STI till you mentioned it. They're quite proud of their components, but from all the reviews I've read, their pride seems justified. Their follower prices aren't horrible, so I might order a handful to replace the ones in my old magazines.

Thanks for the other suggestions, Dreadi, I'll probably call those guys about the springs when I get some time.
