So the S&W website advertises a trigger pull of 4.5 to 5.5lb on their M&P Pro Series.
https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/p ... o-series-0

The promotional video by Lena Miculek on that page refers to a 3.5 to 4.5lb trigger pull.

The one I just got new, is at 6lb. Out of 6 striker fired guns that I own, including 3 other M&Ps, it's the heaviest trigger pull out of the bunch... for the "competition" oriented pistol.

Looking to call S&W tomorrow to see if they'll do an RMA to get it corrected.

Anyone had any such luck on a similar issue?

Smith and Wesson are known for having terrible triggers. Save yourself the hassle and upgrade to the Apex trigger.

Yeah, I've seen nutnfancies review and others witht he pro series all pulling around that 6lb mark. Seems like it's consistent / intended to be that pull weight.

I'll give them a call and see what happens. It's a fine trigger, very crisp, tactile, just heavy compared to even the standard trigger.

Just FYI, so it took a long time to get back to me. Sent it off on Jan 5th, received it today, Feb 19, so about 6 weeks.

They fixed it! Trigger pull weight was 6lb flat. Now it's about 5lb, certainly less than my other M&P at 5lb 6oz.

So I'm super happy. I just wanted something similar to but slightly better than my carry, so this was a great outcome. I would not have been so happy bringing it down to 3.5 or something like that with an apex comp kit.
