Bought a SiCo Osprey 45 (not the K) along with 4 26rnd fun sticks.

Hope to have the AR-45 all done by the end of next summer when I get back. Let's hope the monkeys at the ATF can be done as well.

Paid a princely sum for refinishing on a prewar Colt .22 revolver; it should be home in a couple days and I can show it off some.

Hugged my guns a little harder.
Told them it would be ok.

Actually i finished up a AR lower i was working on. And took a good count of how many mags i have for all my guns. You guys might want to do the same. Don't get caught with out.
Still remember the days of 75.00 glock mags.
Factory sig 20 round 226 mags were 125.00!
The scary one was back then HK 91 factory alluminum mags were 40.00 and steel were yo 0.00

Fortunately for us, it swung back. I bought 50 G3 mags when they were $0.99 circa 2010. The PTR-91 went down the river along with the giant box of mags.

Picked up 2 Savage Target Actions.

One came with 2 bolts, 223 and 308.
The other is a dual port action with a 223 bolt.

MORE new Prairie Dog guns will be in the works....

Installed a Area 419 Sidewinder self-timing muzzle brake on the 300WM build.. Cleaned the threads on the barrel and brake then installed with red threadlocker. Took all of 5-minutes. Why didn't I get this earlier.

Yes indeed, over in the Polymer80 thread. Shot more today, 218 ends in no malfs. Startin' to like this gun.

HH6 ran her AR and G43 too. Did great, I'm glad she's got my six!
Damn fine day we had!

I took a coworker to the rifle range today. It was his first time doing any real rifle shooting, and we had a great time!

We took my prairie doggin' Mossberg MVP .223, Remington 700 .308, Nazi K98k Mauser. Austrian Steyr M95/30 and a WWII M1 Garand. I think he enjoyed shooting them all, but the two modern guns and the Garand were definite favorites. His shoulder took a beating from the others, and of course it was harder to hit anything. :)

We beat up some paper and a steel plate.

He shot two 0.7 MOA five-shot groups at 100 yards with the MVP . . . very, very impressive for a noob shooter. I'd like to say that I did the same thing my first time (or 50th time) to the rifle range, but I'd be lying.

It was a good day. :thumbsup2:

That is awesome! I have been shooting for years, and am so mediocre at it...it amazes me how new folks can come along and blow us away like that.

Sometimes it's that they haven't ingrained our own bad habits, sometimes it's the beginning spark of natural talent.

Saturday, shot two challenging pistol drills with the PF9C, then some more low light pistol work that night. Rogers/surefire, Harries, & Neck Index. Fun stuff!

Sunny day at the Medford pit!

New shooter brought a compact CZ that was very nice.

In the USMC, I had been shooting competitively (part-time) for about 2 years and my best pistol score was 377/400. We invited a pretty green LCpl (E-3) to join the intramural team as he had a great rifle score. But he'd never shot the M9. First competition, he shoots a 385/400 and takes 3rd place out of ~300 shooters.

Some people are just savants.
