Drove up to Snohomish and met Larry Conley. He's doing some work for me that another gunsmith sat on for almost 2 years and didn't do a damn thing. I like Larry, and his shop is spotless, which I think is a good sign.

Finally pulled the trigger on a new 686+ 4". I've wanted a .357 for a while, but couldn't decide which one. I got a chance to handle a few last week, and the 686 just felt perfect in my hand, so it was a no-brainer. The Kenai chest holster is already on the way.

You'll get more, but that's a great first S&W. At the very least a big bore N frame (.44 Mag, .45 Colt, .41 Mag, .45ACP) and a J frame snub in .38. Maybe even a .22LR too.

Took the day off from work and spent it at Marysville Rifle Club where I let a M1 abuse me for a few hours.

I almost wish I had done that, it probably would have been easier. I used realmilk's pure tung oil and it took forever. Plus my last goody box showed up today!

Let’s go shoot wheelies one of these days.

Trying an Overwatch Precision trigger shoe. Way more comfortable than the guitar string of a safety on the original Glock trigger.
