Went on a Hunt for 1F or 2F Black Powder and percussion caps. Black Powder is not easy to find, i found 1lb at the Muzzle loader supply store in Puyallup along with some "Reenactor" winged Percussion Caps.
Those caps are not exactly ideal or reliable i understand, but better than nothing.
I did find 1lb of Pyrodex at Sportsman's Warehouse in Federal Way too, but that is not ideal. 2F equivalent, so it should work anyway.

It was a start, and i already have a bunch of Fuse if i need to go that route, all of that stuff is hard to find locally and the online Hazmat fee's are stupid high.

Okay...so you're retired. Or retarded? You need to take a drive to Buffalo Arms in the panhandle of ID. I bought 10 lbs at 16/lb (old Ensford) back in April 2020 but now it costs $24/lb.

Still cheaper than that RIP off in Puyallup.

Then drive 2 hrs further after Buff Arms...spend the night here at Ripsnort Ranch and return home 8 hr drive the next day.

DONE

And THROW THAT PYRODEX OUT (unless using it in a smooth bore cannon) It is acid corrosive! BP will put rifling in a BP rifle but Pyro will eat away the rifling!

Pyrodex= EVIL!

Yeah, it's a smooth bore. They didn't make a Parrot in 1/2 scale or i would have gotten one. :thumbsup2:

Anybody need a pound of Pyrodex Select 2F?

I'm keeping the Goex 2F, that's good stuff.

PM sent Brian.

Was the store in Selah "the range" only store I can think of that would buy large lots.

The dealer was acting as a transfer dealer, for the most part, for these various purchases.
The dealer did not "buy" all of the guns.
I should have stated "delivered" not generically sold to the dealer.
I should have been more clear on this.

I sent a list of guns for sale to a few friends in that area and made the trip over to drop them off.

We're hungry for guns because when Grandpa passes away, they get divvied up among the relatives instead of dumped on the LGS for pennies on the dollar. We don't have a DJs, Pinto's, or Tuttle's equivalent out here for a reason.

Took two of my Finn Mosin-Nagants, a M28-30 and a M39 to the range on Friday. The M28-30 reportedly is the only MN with a .308 bore, so I had loaded some ammo with .308 bullets for it. It didn't shoot very well at 50 yds, so I took out the M39, which I loaded with .311 bullets, and it did great. I tried some of the .311 bullet ammo in the M28-30 and they did great too.
So, I decided to pull the .308 bullets and replace with .311 bullets on the remainder of the ammo. I weighed every charge on a digital scale and most were pretty much as I had written down. However, one charge was 16 grains and another was 76 grains. It seems that the powder must have bridged in my powder measure and dumped the remainder of the first load into the next. Good thing that I pulled the bullets and re-weighed the powder.

Holy crap, Tom! Go buy yourself a lottery ticket!

76 grains will actually fit in a case?! What was the charge supposed to be?
