I figure every forum has a "What did you do to your XXX today" we should get one started here. Today I cleaned off 13 surplus AK mags. These things were FILLED with Cosmoline. However cleaning them was a breeze with the new trick I read online. Before you begin you must remember that Cosmo is your friend... - 2 gallons of Mineral Spirits - Plastic container - Old toothbrush Take the mags apart, dump them in the spirits for 15min. Give them a scrub down. Dry off and re-assemble. The Mineral Spirits are the only thing I've found to literally dissolve cosmoline. And I picked up the recently won dust cover

I spent a lot of time sending PMs and doing moderating stuff for WaGuns, and I did online research on how to keep the thread protector on my Lone Wolf barrel from falling off. I didn't actually touch a gun today.

Took the rail that blocked the iron sights off my 10/22 takedown.

Sighted in my new AR sights on my last AR. Took it to the action shoot. Did pretty good. Rifle and sidearm (CZ75DB) performed perfectly. Shooter (Me) had a couple flaws. Open carried in my yard all day. Searched WaGuns several times.

The original recoil spring looked like a 'Z' after my first attempt to put it and the bolt back in my 795 receiver, so I bought three new springs and watched a couple of youtubes showing how 'easy' it is. Tomorrow I'll try reassembly again.
