Wyoming man brings compelling case to Federal court to force Feds to allow acknowledge right of citizens to private ownership of commonly used machine guns.

https://cowboystatedaily.com/2023/03/16 ... dium=email

"DeWilde’s argument was nearly the opposite of the federal government’s, as he held that recent gun cases from 2008 and 2022 together indicate that the M16 is in “common use” by the U.S. military and therefore should be made legal for citizens.

He wrote that he wants an M16 for lawful purposes, including “defense of hearth and home and militia functions.”

So even the Federal Gov't acknowledges what I believe.

“explaining that ‘the conception of the militia at the time of the Second Amendment’s ratification was the body of all citizens capable of military service, who would bring the sorts of lawful weapons that they possessed at home to militia duty.’”

1. Citizens have the right to be armed before militia participation, which makes a militia - or a "well-regulated militia" - irrelevant to the right. The anti's argument "we don't have a militia, so you don't get a gun" is wrong logic.

2. The lawsuit will try to get civilian arms = military arms. There should be no distinction between the two.

3. The obvious contention: '...shall not be infringed.'

Nice! Use the anti’s arguments against them. We need to establish more prior cases to build momentum after Bruen.

It needs to be stated that with current events of the last 30 years, the militias should be stronger by now. Tyranny needs abolished post haste!!!

I believe that is the impetus for the Second Amendment.
