Jesus John.. You need to put a spoiler in that with the warning that it contains a video of somebody getting killed.

RIGHT?! ...or should I go with 'But, there's no proof he died!'... (Yeah.....yeah.... you're right, should've had a warning on it, my bad) Excellent demonstration of recognizing a threat, and making sure you're not only prepared, but accurate. Probably a little luck on the defenders part but, that CNS shot was *chefs kiss*... couldn't ask for a better outcome in such tight quarters, where even 15 body shots would leave ample time for the assailant to continue firing. Once the lights turned off, they were off for good, I'll bet.

That's why i say either with one in the chamber if you are comfortable with it(i'm not), or hammer or sa/da. Also in a full scuffle getting 2 hands on a gun is much harder than a single.

Whats the fucking story here? The body tensing and dropping is typical of a CNS hit. They hit his 'off' switch. Attempted robbery gone wrong.

If you are not comfortable get in more practice and figure out how your firearm works. I carry my 1945 Star with one in the pipe and the hammer down on a piece of match stick so a spring is not compressed. I can thumb that hammer back might fast like a single action revolver.

Also in a full scuffle getting 2 hands on a gun is much harder than a single. Buy an XD. The grip safety helps with the fear of holstering a striker fired non-trigger safety handgun. Just do not depress the grip safety as you holster it so if anything catches the trigger it cannot be pulled back. If you're afraid of it going off on its own... ------- If that wasn't a Taser, it looked like he had things in his hands as he drew the firearm. Any news article about this?

I carry all my guns with one in the chamber and if it's my 1911 the hammer is back. If I have time to rack the slide or cock it that means I probably haven't used all my options. Most 1911's are 80' series, you don't need to decock it with something blocking the hammer. https://rangehot.com/series-70-vs-80-th ... you-think/
