Replaces the gas tube and moves the charging handle to the left side. I think the original one stays in place if you wish. http://www.dublinaksystems.com/rcs.htmlSaw something using an ambi charging system on the youtube shorts but no manufacturer was named. Found this via the comments there. Is it a good idea? Or does it mess with success?

HA! Tryin' to go all HK, they are.
I'm not an AK guy, but I've shot and handled them enough that I would not want.
It introduces extra parts into an already robust system, and offers no significant advantage that I can see.
And now you have an extra piece sticking out of the side of the gun, doesn't fold down like HKs.
I don't see the point. The traditional Russian method of speed reloading the AK worked fine for me.
Gimmick, but more power to 'em. Make stuff, sell=capitalism.

I wonder if it'd fit my PAP.
All my ARs are LH side charging.. It'd be nice if my AK was as well..

Doesn't that poke you when you sling it across your front, or your back?
That's one of the few things I never liked about the FAL.

That's one of the few things I never liked about the FAL. It's low profile enough, and I have padding... It's non-reciprocating BTW. Attachment: 20230126_141953.jpg Attachment: 20230126_141819.jpg

My 7.62x25 pps43/ak bullpup build is getting a gas tube charging handle but that's only because it's a bullpup, but on a standard config ak this is a solution looking for a problem. Cool but i dont understand it, the only thing better than the stock ak charging handle is the galil in my opinion.
