I'm thinking of getting a non fancy 10.5" AR upper that will be a truck/trunk knock around gun.

In the past I've had flat tops so I could put optics or Magpul flip ups on.
This will be my first with a F-Marked gas front sight.
So, which rear (non optic) sight will match up?

No flip ups.

Old school peep/ring.

I agree with Daniel Defense. My 10.5" upper has one installed on it. :thumbsup2:

I like the Ma-tech sights, but that DD sight looks nice, simple and strong.

I’d get the fixed rear sight for a truck gun cause it’s gonna get bounced and bumped around and they are tough as nails.
I’d also get a RDS.

The DD is a good option. Scalarworks makes a nice one too but for 2x the cost.

DD fixed IF you can find one, and a compact RDS--say an RMR size. They're kind of an offbrand, but the DI Optical Falcon prism is what rides my "briefcase build". It's based on one the South Korean Army issues, changed JUST enough that the Korean gov will allow civilian sale.

For those with better eyes, Aimpoint Micro or Nano, Trijicon RMR, Leupold Deltapoint Pro are all good choices. Around here I'd probably go the RMR with an SI Jellyfish to keep the rain off it.
